Funding the Future Through M4MK
Mitrata is raising $36,000 to send 38 students on a rare educational trip that will expand their horizons, build confidence, and provide hands-on learning beyond the classroom. This trip offers exposure to new environments, cultural experiences, and practical skills that can shape each student’s future.
We still need donations and more participants to reach our goal. Your contribution—big or small—directly funds travel, lodging, learning materials, and safe supervision for the students.

Our Legacy Continues to Grow
Mitrata’s Legacy Circle honors donors who make a lasting commitment to the future of Nepal’s children through planned gifts—bequests, trusts, life insurance, and other arrangements that ensure ongoing support for education, health, and well‑being. Members of the Legacy Circle help sustain long-term programs, expand opportunities for vulnerable children, and provide stability that allows Mitrata to plan and grow with confidence.

The Mitrata Approach to Sponsorship
Becoming a Mitrata sponsor means directly supporting a Nepali child’s education, healthcare, and basic needs. Sponsors also build a personal bond through letters, photos, and updates. 100% of your sponsorship goes to the child, creating a lasting, meaningful impact.
A Time to Celebrate!
Last week our partners at BSF in Nepal celebrated preschoolers advancing to the next stage and students who passed their SEE (SLC) exams. We honor their courage, dedication, and bright futures as key milestones in their ongoing learning.
Spring 2026 Nepal Trip
Every year in the spring, Mitrata sends a member of the staff or board to Nepal. This year, Mitrata Board Vice-President, Danny Williger has been in Nepal visiting with the BSF team, the children at the Contact Centers, and the older students in school. The trip is an opportunity to monitor progress, exchange letters that allow the children and sponsors to stay connected, and take lots of pictures and videos to share with the sponsors back in the states.

Our annual STL trivia night is upon us! This week, the Mitrata staff, board, volunteers, and supporters will be gathering together in St. Louis on April 25th for a night of food, fun, fundraising, and of course trivia! If you’ve been waiting to purchase a table for the event, now is the time!
Seattle 2026 Wrap Up
Thank you for an incredible turn out at our 3rd annual trivia night in Seattle, Washington. With 20 tables at the event, our Seattle community raised over $27,000 to reach our fundraising goal! The funds raised at trivia will be going towards clean water, coats, comforters, and post-graduation support for both our Contact Centers.

Celebrating Kushe Aunsi
The Nepali Festival called Kushe Aunsi is also commonly known as Buwa ko Mukh Herne Din, or “the day to see one’s father’s face.” It is the Nepali version of Father’s Day! The children at the Swoyambhu Contact Center celebrated by making handmade cards.
Celebrating Guru Purnima!
Guru Purnima is also known as Teachers’ Day in Nepal. At the Contact Centers, our students honored their teachers by presenting them with handmade cards, flowers, and performing dances.
