Our Legacy Continues to Grow
The Nancy Williger Legacy Circle honors those who share our commitment to maximally impact the lives of severely underprivileged Nepali children who in turn contribute to their community. Our Legacy Circle family has seen continued growth over the years, now reaching a total of 20 dedicated members. This milestone reflects the ongoing commitment of individuals who believe in and support our mission.

Sandeep Nema has been a supporter of Mitrata since 2011 when he met Executive Director, Christine Schutz, in a meditation group. He started sponsoring two children, Rukku and Swosthani with his daughters, Charu and Sarah. Swosthani has already graduated into independence. Sandeep continues to sponsor Rukku and now also sponsors her brother, Rohan.
Sandeep values being part of Mitrata because it connected him with like-minded people, allowing him to help build community and foster meaningful relationships. He also appreciates Mitrata’s holistic approach — it’s about more than just donating money for education. It is about providing healthcare and other needed support services too.
At the beginning of 2026, Sandeep was thinking about his life and how he wanted to have his own legacy while building his estate trust. When considering his choice to join the Legacy Circle, he said, “This is the right time for me. I am thinking about what the most important thing is for me outside of family and how it can make the biggest impact. It was an easy choice.”
