Building Connections at the Contact Center
Educating underprivileged children in Nepal presents significant challenges. Many children live in unsafe, unhealthy conditions and work to help support their families. They often lack school-readiness skills, face neglect, and suffer from malnutrition, all of which hinder their ability to learn.
To address these needs, the Contact Center Program operates through two centers located in the Baleju and Swayambhunath neighborhoods of Kathmandu, Nepal. This program provides children aged 4 to 12 with an educational foundation in a nurturing, supportive environment modeled after the Montessori approach. Each center enrolls an average of 30 students who begin at the preschool level, learning basic skills such as reading, writing, and an introduction to English. The program also offers hygiene education, healthcare, and two nutritious, protein-rich meals and snacks daily.
This year’s Nepal Sponsor Trip attendees spent an afternoon at the Swayambhunath Contact Center.
While there, they were able to spend time in each of the classes, meet the teachers and the children, and were treated to a few special dances performed by the students.
The children worked very hard to practice and learn these dances just for our trip participants!
This holiday season, we invite you to join in our mission of educating and empowering severely underprivileged children in Nepal by becoming a sponsor of the Contact Center Program.
Our goal is for the Contact Center Program to be fully funded by program sponsors. Just 24 more monthly sponsors at $50/month are needed to fully fund our first Contact Center for the year.
By becoming a Contact Center Sponsor, you’re not just supporting one child; you’re helping to sustain the entire program. Your monthly gift provides early education, daily nutrition, and a safe environment where these children can grow, learn, and prepare for school.
Sponsorship is flexible, starting at just $25/month, but $50/month helps us close the final gap and keep the Contact Center thriving all year long. Sponsors receive updates, photos, and cards from the children—and are always welcome to join us on our fall trip to Nepal to see the impact firsthand.
