Looking Forward to a Visit from Nepal
In just a few short weeks, Bhuvaneshwori Satyal Foundation's (BSF) Executive Director Leena Satyal and Board President Yogesh Satyal will be traveling to visit us here in the United States. This will be their fourth trip to St. Louis since our partnership began. Between spending time with our child sponsors, attending our 2024 Strategic Planning Meeting, and attending a Miles for Mitrata Kids 2024 picnic, their time will be packed full of events and activities!
A Mini Graduation
Recently, BSF held a “Mini” Graduation Ceremony with the 2024 Secondary Education Exam (SEE) graduates and Contact Center graduates at our new Contact Center.
An Incredible Adventure
A few of our students were accompanied by the BSF staff on a three day Adventure Trip. The goal of this trip was to broaden our students’ views and empower them to discover more about their culture, history, and the spectacular scenery of Nepal.
Sponsors: The Genies of Mitrata
This year we have 11 young students who are moving from the Contact Center to private schools. These are unique children with their own stories, hopes, and dreams, but each has one need in common: a sponsor who will support their care and education as they grow and prepare to make their wishes come true.
Are You Ready for Miles for Mitrata Kids 2024?
Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children has set out to raise $35,000 through the event Miles for Mitrata Kids. These funds will support the education of the 2024 Contact Center graduates until they are fully sponsored.
Double the Trivia, Double the Fun!
This year, for the first time ever, Mitrata held TWO Trivia Nights, one in St. Louis, MO and one in Seattle, WA. Combined, the events raised an over $40,000 for our Fund-A-Need goals!
Fund A Contact Center Need (or two!)
Please join us in providing the children at the Contact Center with comprehensive healthcare checkups, dental procedures, pairs of glasses, and a much-loved Contact Center field trip to the Kathmandu Zoo, including pizza and ice cream.
The Volunteers Make the Difference
Our volunteers are simply individuals in the Mitrata family who have asked, “Is there something else I can do to further Mitrata’s mission?” They quickly learned, the answer to that question is always an enthusiastic YES!
