Enjoying Spring in Nepal
Every year, a few members of the Mitrata Board of Directors travel to Nepal in the spring. This year's trip attendees were Mitrata's Fundraising Committee Chair and Secretary, Jennifer Rashet; and Board Vice President and Sponsorship Committee Chair, Danny Williger. A Look Behind Before Looking Ahead
2024 was a very busy year for Mitrata. As an organization, we were able to accomplish many of our goals, and we are looking forward to a new series of goals focused on providing long-term sustainability for Mitrata and BSF through at least 2030.
Leaving a Legacy
Dr. Nancy Williger has been a prominent member of the Mitrata family for the past 22 years. This year, she announced her retirement from the Mitrata Board of Directors.
A Busy, Fun-Filled Two Weeks
Leena Satyal, Executive Director, and Yogesh Satyal, Board President, of BSF our NGO partner in Nepal, visited St. Louis, MO for two weeks of meetings with sponsors, our annual strategic planning meeting, and some fun times with donors, board members and staff.
The Volunteers Make the Difference
Our volunteers are simply individuals in the Mitrata family who have asked, “Is there something else I can do to further Mitrata’s mission?” They quickly learned, the answer to that question is always an enthusiastic YES!
Meet Our New Officers
The Mitrata Board of Directors will have new officers in place beginning in January 2024. As Jim Craig becomes Past President, Rick Hendin will succeed Jim as President, Danny Williger will become Vice-President, Jennifer Rashet will become Secretary, and Ambrose Bittner will continue as Treasurer.

Jim Craig has served as President of Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children since 2020 and retires from this critical role at the end of this year. We are eternally grateful to Jim for his service to Mitrata as President, but we owe him so much more!
Follow Our Team in Nepal!

This year, our team is a diverse group of Mitrata staff, board members, child sponsors, and two members of our Young Professionals Board! A few individuals have traveled to Nepal in the past, but for many, it will be their very first time! We hope you will take the time to follow our journey.
