Our fall Sponsor Trip to Nepal begins on Friday, September 28, 2023!
Yes, this weekend!
This year, our team is a diverse group of Mitrata staff, board members, child sponsors, and two members of our Young Professionals Board! A few individuals have traveled to Nepal in the past, but for many, it will be their very first time!
One such first-time Sponsor Trip participant is Jennifer Rashet. This is her perspective on the quickly approaching trip:

Although they have exchanged many letters, this trip will be their first time meeting in-person!
“Two words describe how I am feeling about our upcoming trip to Nepal…. pure excitement!
Yes, this will be my first trip to Nepal! As a Mitrata Board Member, Fundraising Chairperson, and Child Sponsor since 2019, I am really looking forward to this trip; meeting all the children we assist and the child I sponsor, spending time with the Mitrata and BSF Staff, visiting the Contact Center, celebrating the graduation, and experiencing the culture and beautiful scenery, all in a completely new part of the world to me.
And, I don’t want to forget to mention that we will be purchasing all kinds of stunning new Nepali jewelry, gifts, and holiday decor to sell at our upcoming annual Holiday Bazaar on December 2 and 3, 2023 in St. Louis!
I hope you will take the time to follow our journey and experience the trip with me (through new eyes) and the other 15 members of my cohort! I’m sure we will have beautiful pictures to share, and fun stories to relay as we create new and lasting memories with our extended family on the other side of the world.”
