The Children's Model High School

Today Rick and I visited CMHS (Childrens Model High School).  We met with the school principal, Mr. Regmi, and thanked him for the excellent education his school has provided to our children.  We have had children at CMHS longer than any other boarding school.  A special treat for me was seeing sponsored child Anup again: he was just five years old when I was in Nepal during the annual sponsor trip in 2011!  Seeing him as the fine young man he is today was exciting.

Meeting with the children and seeing how they have grown and developed, I feel very blessed to be part of Mitrata.  After meeting with the children, Rick and I met Leena Satyal, executive director of BSF, for lunch in Thamel, the tourist district in Kathmandu.  We discussed our children and the issues they face, many having grown up in difficult circumstances before enrolling in Mitrata/BSF’s programs and how BSF provides guidance to the children to help them reach their full potential.  After lunch came more shopping for some new unique items for sale at the trivia night this year!
