Thank You for Nine Years Pam!

In 2016, Pam Caraffa joined the Mitrata Board of Directors. At that time, she and her husband Ralph had been Mitrata child sponsors for 10 years. While on the Board, Pam served as the Chair of the Board Development Committee and on the Executive Committee. On June 2, 2025, Pam officially retired from the Board after nine years of service. She plans to stay involved in Mitrata through Contact Center Sponsorship, serving as an Advisory Board Member, and volunteering.

Pam’s retirement from the Mitrata Board will leave a huge gap in terms of our overall Board experience and skill sets.

For the past nine years, Pam has not only watched the Board and Mitrata organization grow, she has also been instrumental in helping to guide that growth.

I know the Board and staff join me in thanking Pam for her many, many contributions through the years, especially in helping to improve the operational effectiveness of the Board.

We honor her commitment to Mitrata and feel blessed that her legacy of achievements will endure for a very long time.

Thank you, Pam. We will miss you!!!!
— Rick Hendin, Board President
Pam‘s nine years on the Board has been incredibly helpful to developing the Board’s strength, capacity and strategic planning. She brought her unique skills in organizational development at just the right time to Mitrata. Her compassion and the insightful way she helped Mitrata to grow has really made a difference.

We are grateful to her and pleased that she will continue to serve Mitrata as a member of our Advisory Board and sponsor of our Contact Centers.

Thank you, Pam, for all your service and for your kind and thoughtful presence at all of our board and committee meetings.
— Dr. Christine Schutz, Executive Director and Founder
