“As we end the year, I thank you for your continued support through these difficult and crazy times. A special thanks to those who helped with the successful events of 2022, Trivia Night, Miles for Mitrata Kids, the 20th Anniversary Celebration, and the Holiday Bazaar. We were able to meet in person again and it was so wonderful!

Visiting Nepal for the first time in three years was incredibly moving. I could go on for hours about how the children and BSF staff are amazing, resilient, and so appreciative of what you do for them. It was heartwarming to see the progress the children have made, despite incredible challenges due to the pandemic. They shared their gratitude for your support with me along with hugs and tears of joy. It has been a wonderful 20th Year of Mitrata!

Our partner NGO, Bhuvaneshwori Satyal Foundation (BSF) has made much progress opening the new Contact Center facility and office location. Both buildings are great improvements in space and comfort. The sponsors who joined me on the trip this year were very impressed with the BSF staff, their caring for the children, and their dedication to our mission.

As we enter 2023 with new challenges, joys, and amazing experiences, I want you to know how much I appreciate your loyalty to our mission and your generosity. Each of you has an important role to play as we continue to move forward, and everything you do really does change the world for our children. We say that a lot but please know it is true. I saw it in the loving eyes of all our children as I met with each of them!

As I start my 70th year of life on this planet, I do not take for granted what you give to Mitrata, as I know you have many choices of how to utilize your resources. YOU are what enables Mitrata to lift our children out of poverty and change the world one starfish at a time.

Peace and love to all of you this Holiday Season!”

With gratitude,

Dr. Christine Schutz
