The Mitrata Team Grows

As Mitrata’s mission and goals continue to expand, so does our team. This year Mitrata has welcomed two new staff members, Mark Bieg and Lindsey Kren, to our Operations team in St. Louis.

Mark Bieg

With a business degree and a background in accounting, finance, and database management, Mark makes a great addition to the team as our new Administrative Coordinator.

Here’s what Mark has to say about joining the Mitrata team:

“After retiring from my previous career, I was hoping to find a parttime role with a nonprofit organization. The mission and values of Mitrata got me excited to apply for the available position. Once I joined the team, I realized that the entire organization is comprised of people who hold those values and are dedicated to the mission. I feel extremely fortunate to have found a place where I can work with a group of wonderful people to directly help children in need.”

Mark shared that he is most looking forward to meeting more of the sponsors and donors at the various Mitrata events and hope to be able to visit the children and organization in Nepal by joining a group trip. Welcome Mark!

Lindsey Kren

Lindsey joins the Mitrata team as the new Communications and Development Coordinator. Lindsey has experience working in a variety of fields from non-profits to retail, education and fitness.

Here’s what Lindsey shared about joining the Mitrata team:

“I am excited to be joining such a dedicated team of people who clearly have a passion for the work they are doing. After years of job searching, I have finally found the right place for me to grow professionally while also supporting a mission that is in line with my values. I am looking forward to working with this incredible team, aiding the hard work on the ground in Nepal with BSF, and hopefully getting the chance to meet the children that are the reason this whole organization exists.”

We look forward to Lindsey’s fresh perspective as she assists the operations team with graphic design, building connections through social media platforms, and aiding in communication efforts. Welcome Lindsey!

New Opportunities for Current Staff

Thanks to the changes made on the operations team, two staff are now taking on new roles and responsibilities. Jackie Schmitt has now transitioned to the Sponsorship & Administration Manager and Anna Wertman now heads up Communications & Development as Manager. With Mark on the administration team, Jackie now has more time to give her focus to sponsor relations and communications while the addition of Lindsey on the development team gives Anna the opportunity to take on higher level tasks to support fundraising needs and strategic initiatives for Mitrata.

If you’d like to learn more about our board and staff, you can find us here.

Once again, welcome to the Mitrata family Mark and Lindsey, and congratulations Jackie and Anna on your new roles!
