A Busy Mitrata Weekend in the Pacific Northwest
Our second annual Seattle Trivia Night took place on March 8, 2025. Multiple Mitrata Board and Staff members traveled to Seattle from St. Louis to assist with the event. Any time members of the Mitrata family are able to gather together, you know it is going to be a wonderfully full visit!
Exploring the Outdoors:
Can Midwesterners visit the Pacific Northwest, and not go on a hike? We don’t think so. That is why the busy weekend began with some time enjoying the outdoors. Thank you to Mitrata Board member Sara for graciously spending her free time taking St. Louis travelers Danny and Anna on a hike to see not one, but TWO waterfalls!
Child Sponsor Gatherings:
Seattle is one of the largest groups of Mitrata child sponsors, second only to St. Louis. It is always a fantastic time when members of the Mitrata family are able to gather together and share a meal with one another. Thank you to Traci, and to Rick and Reva for opening their homes to host these gatherings. Their hospitality created the perfect space for much laughter and quality time spent together.
Seattle Trivia Night:
At our second annual Seattle Trivia Night, we had 19 tables of trivia participants, and raised over $22,000 for our Fund-A-Need Goals! We successfully funded a year of clean water, hygiene, and educational supplies for the children at both our Contact Centers.

Our fantastic trivia judges!
The vitally important bartenders!
Seattle Trivia Night attendees were able to participate in a raffle, and shop a pop-up bazaar of fair-trade Nepali items, including sterling silver jewelry and the cutest fleece dog ponchos!
A huge thank you to our Seattle Board members and volunteers for all their help in the planning and execution of this event. Thank you to Brian Agovino of TriviaRiot for traveling from St. Louis to Seattle to emcee this event for us. It would not be the same without him. Thank you also to the Mitrata Board members and volunteers who made the trip from St. Louis to help out at Trivia Night. We truly could not host this event without the help of so many people.
Amy Benson, the creative mind behind Mitrata’s wonderful videos, sharing her story of being a child sponsor through Mitrata.
It was a full house of excited trivia participants!
