Mitrata-Nepal Holiday 2004 Newsletter
Thanks
to Sponsors, Volunteers, Staff & MacroSun International
The Fall 2004 Fundraiser at MacroSun proved to be a success!
We had a great time meeting old friends and meeting new Mitrata supporters.
Thanks goes to the following local sponsors for donating gift items for the
auction and for food items: The Alpine Shop, Bittersweet Botanicals, The
Chase Park Plaza Cinemas, Euclid Jewelers, Everest Café, Prem and Satish
Nayak, and MacroSun. We would also like to thank the following staff and
volunteers: Jim Brasunas, Gyanesh Lama, Julia Mariana, Bob Race, Ziporah
Reich, Stephanie Recht, Devi States, Hazel Tamano, Elizabeth Vega, Gertraud
Wild, Gil Williams, and Nancy Williger.
Please also mark the date of February 6, 2005! The Alpine Shop will be
giving Mitrata an additional 25% discount on purchases to assist us with our
trip to Nepal. If you will be able to participate and would like more
information, please contact Hazel at 314/534-9251.
We are planning our next group trip to Nepal for
March 12th-27th 2005.
If you plan to go, the first payment of $1500 is due by January 10, 2005.
We are meeting for planning and discussion at my house on
Tuesday December 7, 2004 at 7 PM.
PLEASE RSVP IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND at (314) 762-9412. If you are out
of town and interested, you can contact me by email or phone. This trip is
a unique opportunity to meet the children and to see beautiful Nepal.
Grant Proposal Is OUT!
Hazel Tamano, M.A. Development Consultant is sending out the proposal to potential organizations that may be able to help us. If you know anyone who you think would be a good contact for us, please let me know. We are looking for individuals or organizations that would provide financial help for our planned growth.
We now have 26 children in our home in Kathmandu and 19 children we sponsor for school--a total of 45 children! WE ARE SEEKING MORE SPONSORS for 4 of our children. If you know anyone who is interested, please pass on the information. Word of mouth from friend to friend has been the way we have come so far with our sponsorship program.
