Fall 2004 Newsletter
We now have 25 children in our home in Kathmandu and 19 children we sponsor for
school--a total of 45 children! WE ARE SEEKING MORE SPONSORS. If you know anyone who is interested, please pass on the information. Word of mouth from friend to friend has been the way we have come so far with our sponsorship program.
A big thanks to the fund-raising team for their help. We have been faithfully meeting once a month and planning the fall fundraiser. Thanks to: Nancy Williger, Stephanie Recht, Bob Race, Julia Mariani, Gil Williams, Jim Brasunas and Hazel Tamano. Please come and bring friends and circulate our flyers. We are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year. NANDA KULU WILL BE JOINING US AND WE WILL HAVE A SHORT PROGRAM AND MYSTERY RAFFLE AT 2:00PM AND 3:30PM.
Grant Proposal Is Complete!!
Hazel Tamano, M.A. Development Consultant has completed the grant proposal and we are now sending it out to foundations and interested parties. A special thanks to Jeanne Wilke, Elliot Chapel and Paul Beal for their generous donations to get this project underway.
Brokerage Account Available for Stock Donations
A special big thanks to our new supporters, Carole & Ron Sasiela who have made our first stock donation to Mitrata-Nepal Foundation. We now have a brokerage account set up for anyone who may be interested in the future in donating stocks in lieu of cash.
We are planning our next group trip to Nepal for March 12th-27th 2005. The itinerary and first signup will be available at the October 10th fundraiser.
Thank you for your compassion and generous support.
