As you can imagine, running a children’s home and an educational program has financial needs that are not covered by the sponsorship funds alone. For example, we have had to do many extra things, such as, get screens for the windows, hire an assistant director who specializes in social service, buy furniture, and get a special filter system for the water, to name a few. We may have a child who needs orthodontics care. These extra expenses, plus the extremely high inflation rate in Nepal require us to obtain general and annual donations to provide operational support to the NGO.
