Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children, Inc., is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, volunteer based, 501(C) (3) organization in the USA. We are dedicated to giving help to needy children in Nepal through fundraising for home sponsorships, school sponsorships, program evaluation and development. Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children, Inc in the USA supports the programs of the Mitrata-Nepal Foundation, a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Nepal.

Each organization has a Board of Directors and is legally recognized in its respective countries. Because all USA board members are volunteers, the donations go directly to support our programs with minimal administrative costs.

In 2008, Mitrata spent 95% of the funds towards supporting the children and5% of the funds went towards the administrative costs.

Since 2002, we have worked to make sure that the children’s home we are supporting has a solid reputation in Nepal by providing a good and loving home and quality care for the children. The children are taught overall life skills in a warm and loving family atmosphere. After they leave the Mitrata home, they take with them valuable life lessons, education, and the ability to be self-sufficient members of the local community.

We currently support approximately 100 children in Nepal through home and school sponsorships. Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children, Inc. is committed to helping children in need in Nepal. To fulfill our mission, we are devoted to expanding our efforts to support many more children and children’s homes in need in Nepal.
